Honga’s Lotus Petal Restaurant
Honga’s was the 2008 recipient of the Historic Architectural Review Committee’s Award for Excellence for Adaptive Reuse. This historic structure was completely remodeled from 3 separate shops into a contemporary interpretation of an Asian restaurant. Seating is provided for 140 patrons on 2 levels. The design includes a new kitchen, prep, sushi bar, deli, private dining room, bar and outdoor seating area. Bamboo flooring and cabinets were combined with stained concrete floors, exposed steel and sustainable materials. The historic bar, one of the oldest in Telluride was restored as a sushi bar.
